"It was most heartening to see a capacity audience at our recent concert at the Holy Name Church, Fishguard, at a thoroughly enjoyable evening of music and carols. The works were performed with great commitment and panache; in particular the Hebrides Overture was played with clarity and sensitivity to create the different moods of the sea. After the concert many people commented that the orchestra is going from strength to strength, which is most encouraging. The audience rose to the occasion in their hearty carol singing, and the whole evening was wonderfully rounded off with a reception and mince pies and wine. As with many of our concerts this one was to help raise money on behalf of the Shalom House Trust, a new hospice in St. Davids and we were delighted to help raise £1,200 on this occasion"
